Before 2020, Man will walk on the Moon again. Will you be ready?


Laval, October 20, 2009. It is with great excitement that the Cosmodôme embarks on the new space journey that will lead NASA astronauts back to the Moon before 2020. With its brand new Constellation Challenge, the Cosmodôme will open the doors of its Space Camp once a month for anyone interested in experiencing the training of an astronaut.

The first challenge, taking place on November 15, will offer trainees the opportunity to try two simulators and experience the sensation of walking on the Moon as well as the conditions in space. A scientific workshop, a visit of the Space Science Center and the movie Magnificent Desolation, Walking on the Moon will complete this out-of-this world
afternoon activity. The program is available for any space passionate over 9 years of age.

Fees :
$35,35 plus taxes per participant
$115 plus taxes for a family of 2 adults & 2 children
 

Restrictions : Minimum height 1,28 m (4’2’’); maximum weight 100 kg (220 lb).

Open to all, the Space Science Center lets you explore themes like the solar system, the history of the conquest of space and gives another perspective on our place in the universe. Space Camp offers youngsters and groups the opportunity to try a real-life astronaut’s training and simulate a space mission. All of this under one roof!
