Role Description

President and General Manager
The President and General Manager plans, organizes, manages and monitors the activities of Tourisme Laval to ensure that the objectives of the strategic planning are met. He/she is also responsible for the management of operations, human resources, finances and equipment. In addition the President and General Manager takes on the political responsibilities inherent to his/her position and acts as spokesperson for the organization.

Project Manager
Develops and carries on specific projects in support of the business development of Tourisme Laval and its members. Defines the needs for innovative projects, and develops projects that are in line with the objectives of Tourisme Laval strategic planning.

Director of Communications
Coordinates all communications activities and supervises the department team which role is to promote to various clienteles the various products and services offered by Tourisme Laval and its members, and to contribute increasing sales of these products and services. Integrates sustainable development principles and values in the coordination, development and promotion of the products and services offered by Tourisme Laval and its members.

Press Relations Agent
Ensures that Tourisme Laval and its members enjoy media coverage and public exposure. Provides insights on Laval’s tourist offer and promotes its benefits in order to generate media spin-offs and positive economic repercussions, and actively contribute to the region’s economic development.

IT and Multimedia Technician
Participates in the planning and implementation of Tourisme Laval’s business development strategies by contributing expertise and advice with regard to the creation of information technology and multimedia tools.

Director of Business Development

  • Supervises the activities of the sales force in order to maximize Tourisme Laval’s contribution in helping hotels of the region reach their occupancy rate objectives.
  • Coordinates the activities related to reception and hospitality, and supervises the personnel responsible for providing tourist information for the region.
  • Coordinates the activities related to services to members, and supervises the personnel responsible for developing and maintaining effective business relations with current and new members.

Sales Counsellors
Maximizes Tourisme Laval’s contribution to help hotels of the region reach their objectives in terms of occupancy rate by effectively answering to the needs of existing and potential clients from the business community, associations and other organizations.

Sales Assistant
Provides technical support and ensures the follow up of existing and potential client projects that are managed and supervised by sales counsellors (events for businesses, associations and organizations with hotel accommodations).

Coordinator – Information and Services to Members
Welcomes visitors in the Laval region and offers superior quality products and services that meet the needs and expectations of Tourisme Laval members.

Director of Finances and Administration

  • Ensures the management of accounting and finances activities as well as the management of operations for Tourisme Laval.
  • Develops operational strategies that will help reaching the objectives of Tourisme Laval in terms of quality, productivity, profitability, etc.).
     

Secretary-Receptionist
Provides clerical assistance to Tourisme Laval team.
