Laval, December 2, 2024 — This year, the big end-of-year celebration will take place at Place Centrale in Centropolis! On December 31 at 10 p.m., the media and members of our community are invited to celebrate the end of 2024 and the start of 2025 with us. For the occasion, the team has put together a festive and inclusive program, as well as a spectacular countdown!

A lineup to keep you dancing all night long

New Year's Eve will be an unforgettable celebration! Here is an exclusive look at the full lineup
that will have you dancing, singing, and rocking out.

9:30 p.m.: The celebration venue opens. There will be performances by percussionists and costumed performers carrying lanterns who will mingle with the crowd.

10 p.m.: Sound and light show: Moments of Light

Starting at 10:15 p.m.: Dance under the stars to a live musical retrospective of the year. The band Groove Affair will perform the biggest hits of 2024 to get you dancing!

11:30 PM to 12:30 AM: The party continues with a set by DJ High Klassified! A proud native of Laval, he is regarded as one of Canada’s biggest stars and is considered a pioneer in music production.

12:00 a.m.: At midnight, the long-awaited countdown to welcome 2025 will begin. Special effects will light up the sky, marking the start of the new year in spectacular fashion.

The magic of working together

This New Year’s celebration, just like the “Instants Illuminés” sound and light show, is the result of a wonderful collaboration with businesses in our community.

“La Centrale, proud of its role as an off-site presenter and event specialist, is delighted to partner with Centropolis to create a colorful and musical New Year’s event for everyone,” says Christine Huard, Executive and Artistic Director of the Centrale des artistes.

“It’s an honor for us to be at Centropolis for the big end-of-year celebration! Our exclusive special effects design for the event will treat you to a spectacular and festive New Year’s countdown that will make Laval shine like never before!” says Francis Aubin, president and founder of CR34TE.

This event is presented with financial support from Tourisme Laval the Government of Quebec.

A winter terrace to wrap up the year

On the evening of December 31, Le Balthazar—the place to go for craft beers—will welcome you to a specially set-up outdoor terrace. You can also enjoy a drink menu created just for the occasion.

“We wanted to mark the occasion and be part of the end-of-year celebrations by inviting you to make us your final outdoor dining spot of 2024. We’ll give you a warm welcome so you can enjoy a drink in good company!” says Philippe Paquin, vice president and chief operating officer of the Balthazar.
