Open House Events Return to Laval's Fire Stations
Laval, September 28, 2022 – Fire stations throughout Laval will open their doors wide to the public on Sunday, October 9, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. The event will take place as part of Fire Prevention Week, October 9–15, during which the theme developed by the Ministry of Public Safety—“You’re the one in charge!”—will once again be celebrated.
Of the nine fire stations strategically located throughout the region, eight will give people of all ages the chance to take advantage of this wonderful opportunity to meet firefighters in their workplace. Everyone will be able to explore the equipment and talk about the jobs of firefighters and fire prevention inspectors.
"The open house is a unique opportunity to meet the wonderful staff of the Laval Fire Department. It’s a festive event where you can get an up-close look at the facilities and ask questions about various aspects of the job."
— Sandra Desmeules, member of the executive committee, city councilor for Concorde–Bois-de-Boulogne, and head of public safety
