LAVAL, QUEBEC (TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 15, 2020) @ILLUMICAVALIA – Cavalia announced today that its second edition ofIllumi – A Fairy Tale of Lights will be transformed into a tour allowing visitors to safely experience magical moments by car, on foot, or aboard a small train. Tickets for the three experiences are now on sale exclusively online at www.illumi.com.

ILLUMI REIMAGINED
To comply with physical distancing guidelines without sacrificing any of the magic, the Cavalia team has reimagined and enhanced the^second edition of its dazzling event. Illumi – A Fairy Tale of Lights will be presented in its new format from October 9, 2020, to January 10, 2021. This second edition ofIllumi will take place at the same venue in Laval, where the course is now three times larger than the original. About a hundred workers are busy setting upIllumi for several weeks now to adapt the world’s largest multimedia display of its kind. Illumi has been transformed into a three-kilometer route to allow visitors to enjoy the experience by car, on foot, or aboard specially equipped mini-trains. To ensure everyone’s safety, the walking path adheres to the two-meter social distancing rule and is separated from the route reserved for vehicles.

LIMITED NUMBER OF TICKETS
In order to manage visitor flow—not only to ensure an enjoyable visit by avoiding congestion on the site, but also to ensure compliance with the physical distancing measures recommended by health authorities—a limited number of tickets is available each day, per time slot, and per type of experience. And sinceIllumi welcomed no fewer than 500,000 visitors during its inaugural edition last year, it is mandatory to purchase tickets in advance and reserve them online to gain access to your desired date, time slot, and experience.

A SPECIAL HALLOWEEN TOUCH IN OCTOBER
This year, Illumi opens its doors at the beginning of October. Visitors will then be able to enjoy a special Halloween theme featuring monsters, ghosts, witches, and thousands of pumpkins. In November, theIllumi holiday display, featuring several thousand light structures in winter colors.

HIGHLIGHTS The second edition ofIllumi features 17 fantastic displays. A total of 15 million LED bulbs will bring more than 30,000 dazzling structures to life.

Among the worlds that will be unveiled this year, visitors will have the pleasure of discovering, among other attractions, THE MAGICAL FOREST, where hundreds of multicolored trees of all shapes—made up of thousands of twinkling lights—set the tone for this breathtaking scene. The mysterious undergrowth is filled with colorful mushrooms, giant snails, and agile flying squirrels.

The painting *LES CHEVAUX CAVALIA* is also sure to be a huge hit. Inspired by Cavalia’s magnificent white horses, a grand imaginary ride filled with beauty, mystery, nobility, and power awaits visitors. What’s more, Cavalia’s real horses come here to play and frolic joyfully thanks to the magic of a water screen and fantastic projections.

As for *The Garden of Wonders*, it is the largest painting in the second edition ofIllumi and transports visitors to a vast clearing formed by a carpet of lights made up of more than 500,000 LED bulbs. Gradually, tens of thousands of flowers—roses, tulips, and sunflowers—bloom to the rhythm of the music and appear throughout the display, leaving visitors with memories of a garden of incomparable and indescribable colors.

Those who have experienced the magic ofIllumi last year will be delighted to learn that some of the most popular displays—including LES PÔLES À L’INFINI, LE BOULEVARD EN FOLIE, and LA SAVANNE MULTICOLORE, among others—are back in full force in enlarged and even more spectacular versions. Not to mention the famous ARBRE ILLUMI— the world’s largest tree of lights of its kind, visible from over a kilometer away—which returns to the delight of visitors and onlookers alike.

Illumi – A Magical Light Show drew phenomenal crowds during its inaugural edition. TICKETS – A limited number of tickets are available each day, by time slot, and by type of experience. Tickets must be purchased in advance and reserved online at www.illumi.com/horaire-et-tarifs. For the drive-through or walking tour, tickets start at$15.50 per child ( ages 3–12) and $19.50 per adult ( ages 13 and up). Add $10 for the car (driver’s ticket). For the mini-train experience, tickets start at $19.50 per child ( ages 3–12) and $28.50 per adult ( ages 13 and up). A Family Package (for 4 people) is available starting at $64. Adiscounted rate is offered to seniors (ages 65 and older). Toddlers (ages 0–2) have free admission to Illumi. Taxes not included.
