Musée de la santé Armand-Frappier: A fun and inspiring spring break for a greener future
Laval, February 26, 2025 - During spring break, the Musée de la santé Armand-Frappier is offering a series of fun and educational activities highlighting the links between climate change and human health. Through its Ça chauffe! Cool it exhibition and its creative and culinary workshops, young and old are invited to think and act for a more sustainable future.
Temporary exhibition Things are heating up! Cool it
The Museum presents Cool it! Cool itan exhibition highlighting the crucial link between climate change and human health. Combining science and art, this engaging exhibition invites visitors to reflect deeply on the importance of rethinking our relationship with the environment in order to protect our health and that of the planet.
Through the various zones of the exhibition and a laboratory activity, visitors have the opportunity to delve deeper into essential scientific concepts and discover how the striking works of artist Karine Giboulo illustrate the impacts of climate change on planetary health. An experience designed to inspire everyone to take action.
Spokesperson for the exhibition, Laure Waridel, ecosociologist, stresses the importance of raising public awareness of the tangible effects of climate change on our health, and of proposing accessible solutions for a more sustainable future.

Sustainable cooking with I'm the chef!
During a culinary workshop in collaboration with C'est moi le chef!participants will discover a tasty, balanced recipe, while learning tips for reducing food waste. They will also have the opportunity to prepare a dish to take home. This fun and educational workshop enables children to awaken their curiosity and develop culinary skills, while adopting concrete actions for a more sustainable diet.

Blob'Art: Create your own time capsule
After celebrating its 30th anniversary, the Musée invites the public to an activity with artist Julie Favreau. Inspired by the work created for this anniversary, participants will shape their own clay capsule and have the opportunity to write a message that can be preserved in the Museum's official time capsule for the next 30 years.
The activity continues with the discovery of the blob, the living organism that inspired the artist, offering a reflection on the link between art, time and the living.

Take advantage of spring break to register your children for the Museum's summer science camps!
From June 23 to August 22, 2025, the Museum opens its doors to young science enthusiasts for a series of immersive camps. Each week, children aged 6 to 12 can explore one of our three themes: the environment, the human body or the infinitely small. Supervised by scientific animators, each group will be assigned a unique mission, combining scientific laboratory experiments, creative crafts and educational games. An enriching and fun experience to awaken scientific curiosity and stimulate the imagination of young explorers!
Registration and information
Registration for science camps is now open. Spaces are limited, so we encourage families to reserve early to guarantee a spot. The Museum's camps are certified by the Association des camps du Québec (ACQ).
- Dates: June 23 to August 22, 2025.
- Opening hours: Monday to Friday, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
- Daycare included: 7:30 a.m. to 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. to 6 p.m.
- Rate: $250 per week (daycare included).
- Family discount: 10% on multiple registrations made in a single transaction.
- Accessibility: Financial assistance covering up to 50% of registration fees is available for eligible families.
