Tourisme Laval announces two appointments to its management team

Laval, June 26, 2024 - Christine Métayer, President and CEO of Tourisme Laval, is pleased to announce the appointment of Pierre Michaud as Director of Destination Development and Catherine Angehrn as Director of Communications and Marketing. Both managers will join the Tourisme Laval team as of July 2.

Destination Development Department

Pierre Michaud joins the Tourisme Laval team with over 25 years' experience in the media. An expert in digital platforms and content, he has held key roles at Société Radio-Canada. A solutions-oriented strategist, Pierre is recognized for his ability to launch and develop products, manage complex projects and interpret crucial data for accurate analysis. His creative background, his role as product manager and his expertise in user experience are essential ingredients for his new position. All this experience will be put to good use in developing the destination with our partners. His enthusiasm and desire to contribute to the development and structuring of our destination will combine perfectly with the dynamism of Tourisme Laval. Thanks to his background, Pierre Michaud will bring an innovative vision and a structured approach that will further enhance Laval's appeal.

Communications and Marketing Department

Catherine Angehrn brings to Tourisme Laval a wealth of experience acquired over the past 15 years in the field of communications and marketing. Until recently, Catherine was Director of Communications and Marketing at Éco-Nature | Parc de la Rivière-des-Mille-Îles, where she developed an in-depth knowledge of the Laval tourism ecosystem. Her career path has enabled her to develop cutting-edge expertise in communications and marketing, from the creation of customized strategies to the optimization of digital identities. Having worked both in agencies and on her own, Catherine Angehrn is a versatile resource who knows how to evolve with trends. Strategic in her approach, she is ideally suited to steer Tourisme Laval's communications and marketing efforts with expertise and efficiency. There's no doubt that she'll be able to highlight all the destination's assets.

Catherine Angehrn takes over from Hélène Vézina, who will be retiring shortly. Until her departure in a few months' time, Hélène Vézina will act as strategic advisor to General Management.
