Tourisme Laval Two Appointments to Its Management Team
Laval, June 26, 2024 – Christine Métayer, President and CEO of Tourisme Laval, is pleased to announce the appointment of Pierre Michaud as Director of Destination Development and Catherine Angehrn as Director of Communications and Marketing. Both executives will join the Tourisme Laval team Tourisme Laval July 2.
Destination Development Department
Pierre Michaud joins the Tourisme Laval team Tourisme Laval more than 25 years of experience in the media industry. An expert in digital platforms and content, he has held key roles at the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation (Société Radio-Canada). A solutions-oriented strategist, Pierre is known for his ability to launch and develop products, manage complex projects, and interpret critical data to produce accurate analyses. His creative background, experience as a product manager, and expertise in user experience are essential assets for his new role. He will draw on all of this experience to work with partners in developing the destination. His enthusiasm and desire to contribute to the development and structuring of our destination will align perfectly with the dynamism of Tourisme Laval. Thanks to his career path, Pierre Michaud will bring an innovative vision and a structured approach that will help further enhance Laval’s appeal.

Communications and Marketing Department
Catherine Angehrn brings to Tourisme Laval wealth of experience gained over the past 15 years in the fields of communications and marketing. Until very recently, Catherine was Director of Communications and Marketing at Éco-Nature | Parc de la Rivière-des-Mille-Îles, where she developed a deep understanding of Laval’s tourism ecosystem. Her professional career has enabled her to develop specialized expertise in communications and marketing, both in creating tailored strategies and in optimizing digital identities. Having worked in agencies and as a freelancer, Catherine Angehrn is a versatile professional who knows how to adapt to emerging trends. With her strategic approach, she is ideally suited to expertly and effectively lead Tourisme Laval communications and marketing efforts. There is no doubt that she will showcase all of the destination’s strengths.

Catherine Angehrn is taking over from Hélène Vézina, who will be retiring soon. Until her departure in a few months, Hélène Vézina will serve as a strategic advisor to senior management.
