On September 14 and 15, the Serres Lavoie invite you to spice up your weekend with a one-of-a-kind event: the Cactus and Succulent Festival. One thing is certain: you won’t want to miss this golden opportunity to take part in a fascinating event, full of discoveries and entertainment—including a musical component!
Plant lovers will be delighted to discover the booths of several companies specializing in cacti and succulents. There you’ll find rare and unique plants, perfect for adding a touch of exoticism to your garden or home. Whether you’re a passionate collector of cacti and succulents or a curious beginner, you’re sure to leave with a new plant that has won you over.
For those interested in learning more about cacti and succulents, experts in the field will give several talks on the subject and share fascinating information, as well as tips and advice on growing and caring for these amazing plants.
You definitely won’t want to miss the guided tour of Serres Lavoie led by the owner himself. You’ll discover the secrets of this family-run business and learn how it has become a leader in the world of cacti and succulents. This will be a unique opportunity to go behind the scenes at these greenhouses and ask a true expert all your questions.
The festival isn’t just about plants! Kids can have fun on themed inflatable rides (you guessed it: cacti!) and enjoy plenty of other activities designed just for them. Plus, there will be a huge photo booth on site! With its themed backdrops and fun props, you’ll leave with photos that will make you smile for years to come.
It goes without saying that when we talk about cacti and succulents, we have to talk about heat! And what better way to warm up the atmosphere than with music? On Saturday, let yourself be swept away by the performance of Carl Tremblay and his band, who promise to get the crowd moving. On Sunday, it will be No Son Cubanos’ turn to transport you with their captivating Cuban rhythms.
Once you’ve had your fill of exploring, you can satisfy your hunger at the food truck on site, which will be serving up a variety of delicious dishes. Whether you’re in the mood for tasty tacos or refreshing drinks, you’ll find something to delight your taste buds.
