From August 14–16, the MOSAÏQUE Laval Festival returns to Centropolis for its 5th edition, more vibrant than ever. For three days, downtown Laval becomes a lively hub of music, dance, and storytelling, brought to life by artists from all walks of life who have come to share what they hold most dear: their culture, their voices, and their art.
Free and open to everyone, this one-of-a-kind event is, above all, an invitation to come together, listen, and discover—in a warm, inclusive, and deeply human atmosphere. It’s an unmissable summer event where boundaries fade away, giving way to connections.
For one weekend, Centropolis is transformed into a space for creativity and sharing. On various stages, more than twenty vibrant performances take place one after another each evening, in a spirit of collective celebration. Each performance—whether rooted in tradition or shaped by a contemporary approach—evokes a world, a memory, or an identity in flux.
The audience is invited to follow their instincts: attend a concert at the end of the day, linger to watch an inspired dance performance, actively participate in a workshop, or simply let themselves be carried away by the energy of the venue. More than just a series of performances, it is a living tapestry woven by voices, bodies, and instruments that tell stories from here and elsewhere.
With more than 30% of its population of immigrant origin, Laval is shaped by the life stories of its residents. The MOSAÏQUE Festival celebrates this diversity not as a theme, but as an everyday reality. It provides a stage for local and international artists who express themselves with authenticity, creativity, and pride.
Each performance then becomes an encounter: between audiences and artists, between languages, between traditions and innovations. And above all, it serves as a reminder that culture is not a static backdrop, but a living force—driven by committed individuals who are rooted in their history and open to the world.
As the day draws to a close, when the string lights gently come on above the Centropolis terraces, the atmosphere becomes magical. The buzz of conversation mingles with the beats, groups form around a performance, and laughter fills the air as the music brings people together.
We wander, we listen, we exchange a smile with a stranger—a feeling, an emotion. The site encourages the freedom to explore. It’s an open, sensitive, and spontaneous experience, where every moment has the potential to become a discovery or a memory.
Organized by the Centrale des artistes, the MOSAÏQUE Festival has established itself as a flagship event of Laval’s cultural summer. Its goal: to build bridges between communities, give visibility to voices that are too often marginalized, and make art a catalyst for dialogue.
Here, culture isn’t just consumed—it’s lived. Here, the stage becomes a space for sharing, listening, and reciprocity. It’s a festival deeply rooted in its community, one that believes in art’s power to change perspectives and bring people together. It’s impossible to resist the urge to join in the dance.
From August 14 to 16, let yourself be moved by music, movement, and words. Whether you’re a music lover, curious to discover new forms of cultural expression, or simply looking for a heartfelt moment to share, the MOSAÏQUE Laval 2025 Festival welcomes you with open arms.
