All eyes are on the Complex Mmulti-SSports as the 2th Quebec Cup in women’s artistic gymnastics is set to electrify the city from March 21 to 23, 2025. A high-level competition in which the athletes of tomorrow will compete for a spot on the provincial team. Hold on tight, because it’s not summer yet and things are about to heat up! The competition will be fierce. Kill two birds with one stone: attend the competition and plan a day in the heart of surprising Laval.
The Coupe Québec Gym, beyond the passionate spectators holding their breath in the stands and the fact that it’s a qualifying event, is a moment that embodies the result of hard work. In fact, as a side note, it’s also the very essence that drives Club Laval Excellence, the proud home of Olympians William Émard and Felix Dolci. This club, which has seen several generations of champions come and go, continues to offer young talents a high-level training environment.
In short, this competition is a great outing to enjoy with friends or family—to watch some great performances, but also, perhaps, to spark a new passion? Or just for the love of the sport itself.
It’s no coincidence that Laval was chosen to host this event! Its Val-des-Arbres in Val-des-Arbres is a state-of-the-art facility, perfectly suited to welcome hundreds and thousands of spectators. This venue has already hosted major competitions, and this new edition of the Coupe Québec marks a strong comeback for Laval on the provincial gymnastics scene.
There’s the competition, and then there’s… Laval! Laval welcomes you with open arms and offers a wealth of activities for a day of discovery. After cheering on the young gymnasts, treat yourself to a gourmet stop at one of the area’s 800 restaurants. You can grab a bite to eat at a café (hello, Café Ricardo), at an Italian restaurant (hello, Vertigo) or at a restaurant serving flavors from here and abroad (hello, Sesame).
Later, stretch your legs by going rock climbing at Crux or at Escalade Clip’n climb. Unless you’re more of a fan of mini-golf in the dark at Putting Edge Centropolis oror taking a trampoline ride at iSaute.
Culture lovers, on the other hand, might prefer to pay a quick visit to the Armand-Frappier Health Museum to immerse themselves in the fascinating world of health, or head to the Cosmodome (Canada’s only interactive space center) for an immersive experience in the heart of space.
And if you feel the call of the music, why not book a late-night show at the Salle André-Mathieu or at Place Bell. You’ll see, the cultural offerings are varied and truly interesting.
