Laval en blanc 2024: A Winter Festival at the Centre de la nature

Winter in Laval officially kicks off with the arrival of the annual Laval en blanc event .

The City of Laval warmly invites residents and outdoor enthusiasts to come celebrate the winter season at this enchanting festival, which will take place from January 26 to 28, 2024, at the Centre de la nature. A magical weekend is in store, featuring a variety of fun activities for all ages!

The must-attend winter celebration

Laval en blanc is a true winter celebration during which the open spaces of the Centre de la nature are transformed into a magical playground. Offered free of charge by the City, this three-day event features a variety of outdoor activities for both Laval residents and visitors from elsewhere who wish to join the festivities.

Activities on offer include sledding, ice skating, a via ferrata, a chair zip line, snow sculpting, shows and entertainment, and many other activities for the enjoyment of young and old alike.

The kickoff for Laval en blanc will take place on January 26, 2024, at 7 p.m. at the Laval Nature Centre. The festivities will begin with a percussion show followed by spectacular fireworks! Make the most of your visit to Laval en blanc to admire the impressive ice sculpture *Bonjour Laval*, a work by Nicolas Godon. You’ll see—it’ll be impossible to stay cool in the face of this giant snowflake made up of countless “L” symbols (“L” for… Laval)! Be sure to snap a photo of yourself next to this infinitesimally small object that’s now larger than life.

The City of Laval also offers those who wish to extend the fun throughout the winter the opportunity to enjoy a variety of open-access sports in parks across different neighborhoods.
