As November sets in, with its low-hanging skies and wet sidewalks, it’s tempting to stay indoors. But Laval has plenty of tricks up its sleeve to turn this gray month into a vibrant array of activities. From climbing walls to flower-filled greenhouses, trampoline jumping, and a retro feast, here’s how to add some color to your daily life.
At Clip ‘n Climb Laval, the walls become vertical rainbows. Each colorful hold seems to invite a new challenge. Children set off with confidence, parents keep up, and everyone ends up laughing at the base of the thirty-four themed walls. No need to be an expert: automatic belay devices let everyone climb at their own pace. For the more daring, Free Fall and Le Saut de l’Ange offer a controlled dose of adrenaline. Perfect for chasing away the gloom with a little vertigo.
When it's too cold to go to the park, head to iSaute Laval to let loose. Here, even the shyest kids eventually take the plunge. Between the dodgeball court, trampoline basketball, and foam pits, time flies by before you know it. The bursts of laughter, the funny landings, and the impromptu challenges remind us that November can also be all about getting active. And for parents, it’s a bonus: everyone sleeps soundly at night.
A quick detour to the Cléroux Greenhouses always lifts your spirits. Under the soft light of the greenhouses, tropical plants and autumn chrysanthemums bring a breath of summer. There, you’ll discover more than 500 varieties of plants in the many greenhouses—a true oasis of greenery when everything outside seems dull. And why not bring a bright red poinsettia home? A simple gesture that extends the visit and brightens up a corner of the living room.
Bonus: On November 22 and 23, theThe Serres Cléroux Christmas Market returns to Laval for its second edition! The heated greenhouses are transformed into a luminous setting filled with poinsettias, artisanal finds, and activities for the whole family. Meet Santa Claus, enjoy comforting treats, and discover unique gift ideas. Free admission and on-site parking!
Through November 30, 2025, the Water Interpretation Center (C.I.EAU) is hosting the exhibition Movements in Water by artist Hélène Déry (Hédé). Here, color is conveyed through light, reflection, and texture. Through linocuts, monotypes, and woodcuts, the artist captures the ripples, the light dancing on the surface, and the fleeting foam. Water becomes subject, inspiration, and poetry. A visit that soothes the spirit and gently reminds us that even in November, beauty lies in the details.
There's nothing quite like a meal at Jukebox Burgers and Bar Laitiers to end the day on a sweet note. Red booths, pastel neon lights, and retro music: it almost feels like traveling back in time. The menu features gourmet burgers and hearty poutines, but it’s the desserts that steal the show. Milkshakes, decadent cakes, and homemade pies add a comforting touch to this chilly month. And between bites, the kids marvel at the decor, while the grown-ups enjoy a moment free from the clock.
In Laval, gray days serve as a backdrop. All it takes is a few bursts of laughter, a climbing wall, a living bouquet, or a pink milkshake to brighten up the month.
Instead of waiting for the sun to come back, why not create your own light?
