Laval is Rocket – It's the start of the new season

No one needs a reason to go see the Rocket play. The team alone is enough to make us want to attend a game! Still, the new season is shaping up to be quite interesting, and since it’s always good to remember why we love something so much, here are a few reasons to buy your season tickets. Right now!

A little (big) newcomer to the team

The Rocket has signed goaltender Luke Cavallin. The 23-year-old right-hander, who stands 6 ft 2 in and weighs 196 lbs, posted a 3-4-2 record with the Toronto Marlies in the AHL last season. He posted a 3.01 goals-against average and a .884 save percentage during that same period. Things are looking promising!

Let the season begin!

The season kicks off on October 11 with a live game from Providence against the Bruins. The home opener, presented by Bell, will take place on October 18 against the Syracuse Crunch. Plenty of reasons to attend the games

Going to see the Rocket is much more than just supporting a local hockey team or showing your team spirit. It’s about contributing, in a small way, to the region’s socioeconomic life. As proof, last season, the Rocket gave back $150,000 to the Laval community. More than 800 students took part in the “Plaisir de lire avec le Rocket” activities, an initiative designed to encourage reading among elementary and high school students. In addition, the team organized two visits to hospitals and a rehabilitation center, as well as a food drive led by the players and their spouses. Not to mention the blood drive held at the Place Bell , which was a huge success with over 500 donors.

So when you attend Rocket games, you’re also contributing to important causes and supporting local initiatives that make a real difference. It’s also an opportunity to come together as a community. Go! Be part of it.
