This year, the roles are reversed! It’s Santa Claus who’s pulling out his pen and jotting down his top 5 list of activities for well-behaved kids! Find out what the old man in red has in store for us in his sack. P.S.: Have you really been on your best behavior?
Say goodbye to the stress that’s built up over the year and get a fresh start (literally). Treat yourself to a body treatment with Labrador Tea, a specialty ofAmerispa. The foaming formula of this tea provides a gentle exfoliation, leaving the skin toned and looking healthier. End the day at La Cupola at the Sheraton Laval and sip a cocktail masterfully crafted by one of its mixologists.
There’s sleeping, and then there’s sleeping well. In the first case, you can easily do that at home. In the second, you can also achieve it in your own bed, but you’re even more likely to achieve it in a Vertige room at the Grand Hôtel Times in Laval. Opportunity makes the thief! First, the place is stunning and modern. Second, the floor-to-ceiling windows on two sides provide exceptional natural light. A definite plus for recharging your batteries.
Strangely enough—or maybe not, considering that we’re usually at work at that time—we tend to save brunch for the weekend. But since we deserve it, why not break the routine and treat ourselves to brunch… on a Monday or a Wednesday? To ensure the activity is a success, try the chai tea waffle with candied apples or the bagel with dill salmon rillettes at Ricardo Laval.
The sound of snow crunching under our feet. The fresh air filling our lungs. The rustling of tree branches. Is there a more relaxing trio? This winter, the Bois Sainte-Dorothée in Laval is one of the best places to enjoy a forest bath. Located in Sainte-Dorothée (surprise, surprise), this wooded area features six kilometers of trails and is home to a vast ecosystem where you can spot nearly 190 species of birds.
Art can be a form of therapy and a feast for the eyes. Taking the time to visit a gallery or museum means taking time for yourself and giving yourself the chance to broaden your horizons. Through January 7, 2024, the Foyer of the Théâtre des Muses (Maison des arts de Laval) is hosting the exhibition “Les joies de la peinture” by painter André-Pierre Arnal. This exhibition explores the idea of starting a painting on a temporary surface before transferring it to canvas.
