To add a little zest to your weekend and soak up a bit of history, head to the Salle Alfred-Pellan and go admire the work of painter Marcel Saint-Pierre. You’ll be briefly transported back to the heady days of May ’68 and the philosophy that underpinned the movement. And since “It is forbidden to forbid!”, once you’re back home, take inspiration from the theme, think outside the box, and host a painting workshop.

Travel to another planet at Putting Edge Centropolis

Mariana Mazza believes that each of us is someone’s “rude one.” As for her, what drives her to be rude is love. To grasp the essence of her perspective—but above all, to have a good laugh (and perhaps even be moved)— book tickets for her show Impolite – Forgive Me If I Love You. Note that the performance will take place at the Théâtre Marcellin-Champagnat is intended for an audience aged 16 and older.

Caribou Night: An Evening for Young Audiences

To introduce children to the theater, there’s nothing better than a play that will captivate and move them. In this regard, the Théâtre des Muses presents La nuit du caribou, an ecological fable that addresses the disappearance of the caribou, questions of identity, and territorial issues. A moving show featuring stunning puppets against a poetic backdrop, intended for children ages 6 and up. Running time: 55 minutes.

Between the ages of two and eight, children love to play make-believe and enjoy pretending to be firefighters, veterinarians, teachers, or other jobs and professions that catch their attention. To satisfy this desire to step into someone else’s shoes and to help them learn more about career options “when they grow up,” as well as to have fun as a family, the Laval Children’s Museum is a must-visit.

Bring your dog to the Festival of Lights!

Adapted for the stage, *And Then There Were None*, Agatha Christie’s famous mystery novel, is now presented at the Salle André-Mathieu. Ten people who appear to have no connection to one another find themselves stranded on an island. One by one, each is accused of murder before mysteriously disappearing. A crime comedy not to be missed.
