Fall has crept in quietly, marking the return of pumpkin lattes and other seasonal delights. What better way to set the tone for the season than by enjoying Laval’s cultural offerings? An evening at the theater, a wild performance, a bit of art, a visit to the museum—and there you have it! And since Laval offers such a wide range of activities (and you have to make some choices), here are a few handpicked suggestions.
There’s nothing more powerful than feeling the thrill—and seeing the whole audience feel it too—when watching a heartfelt performance or a wild guitar solo. And what about the infectious laughter or uncontrollable fits of giggles, courtesy of your favorite comedian! To experience intense emotions and enjoy a wealth of shows worth the trip, a visit to Laval is a must. From Symphorien to Mariana Mazza, not to mention Daniel Bélanger, the [co]motion’s fall program offers something for everyone. Let yourself be surprised!
In the crisp autumn air, miles away from your daily routine yet still close to home, enjoy the Momo Cultural Station to make surprising connections, spend some quality time with yourself, work, play, or attend outdoor performances. In short, do whatever you please in a stunning setting in the heart of Laval. Whether you’re on your own or with friends, discover what you’re all about by exploring each area of the venue:
But hurry! Momo Cultural Station, accessible by metro and located in the Montmorency area, is closing its doors on October1.
We still have plenty of beautiful days ahead of us, and what better way to make the most of them than with a stroll through the streets and underground passages of Laval, on the lookout for contemporary art displayed here and there—inside the metro, on billboards, or at bus stops? Here’s an original and enjoyable way to enjoy two gems: walking and art! In total, there are 30 images centered around the theme of magical realism that you can easily admire. Zoom Artis more than just a project. It’s an artistic oasis in the heart of the city. Definitely an activity to add to your calendar right away (psst! It ends on October 3).
Once upon a time, there were rainy days that came and went. Such is life in the fall! Fortunately, Laval is full of indoor activities such as Manger!, the exhibition that feeds, presented by the Armand-Frappier Health Museum. It’s a unique way to learn more about how food affects our bodies and the joy of eating well, while discovering the history of certain dishes and traditions from all corners of the globe. A great idea would be to round out this discovery-filled activity withpicking your own pumpkins, which you can then cook up with the family!
