Spring is finally here—you’re back in Laval! Family-friendly activities for every taste are popping up all over town, and it’s time to enjoy them. Get out, explore, and get your dose of Vitamin L (yes… for Laval).
As spring begins, the Serres Cléroux are hosting the Zen and Nature Fair. It’s a full weekend to meet passionate exhibitors, participate in interactive workshops with plants, and attend inspiring talks on the impact of plants on our health. Yoga sessions surrounded by nature are also offered in the greenhouses (hello, beautiful setting!). And here’s some good news: admission is free, but some activities require advance registration.
Before diving headfirst into spring—and to get your energy levels up to the max—start with a visit to the Massage Therapy Summit at the Sheraton Laval is a great idea! This international event will let you discover the wonderful world of massage, watch an international massage championship (and the competitors are truly impressive to watch), and attend captivating lectures on health and wellness. Not to mention the charm of a tour of the exhibitors!
When: April 5 and 6, 2025.
Spring is the perfect time to make unexpected discoveries and find unique clothes or accessories you never even dared to dream of. If you enjoy this kind of activity, mark your calendars for April 12 and 13 and pop over to the Local Finds Market at Saint-Claude Church. In a friendly, family-oriented atmosphere, you’ll also have the chance to meet passionate artisans and support local talent.
It's the Seed Festival ! From April 18 to 21, the Armand-Frappier Health Museum opens its doors to highlight Quebec’s native plants and their essential role in biodiversity. Participants will have the opportunity to decorate a clay egg and fill it with seeds to plant at home. It’s a unique way to help preserve the ecosystem—a fun and enriching experience for the whole family. The activity is included in the museum’s admission price, which can be purchased on-site or online.
In April, Place Bell is hosting several events, each one more interesting than the last, but these last two are especially exciting: on April 17, the legendary Harlem Globetrotters will make a stop at the Rocket’s home arena as part of their world tour. Then, on April 29, the show Stars on Ice show, which blends rock music and figure skating. Internationally renowned artists such as Elvis Stojko, Piper Gilles, and Paul Poirier will deliver a spectacular performance set to legendary rock anthems.
On May 2, as part of the 24h de sciences festival, the Armand-Frappier Health Museum will be open in the evening. Visitors will be able to explore the “Ça chauffe ! Cool it” exhibition for free. Researchers will be on hand to discuss their work and answer questions about science and the environment.
Gardening enthusiasts, for their part, can find inspiration by visiting the local greenhouses in Laval. Between picking up some gardening tips, it’s the perfect time to buy seedlings and plants—or just to take a deep breath and enjoy the warmth all around.
