A festival for toddlers in Laval

From 1 to 11 May, Laval will host a festival unlike any other where toddlers and their families are invited to a unique cultural celebration. For the 15th year, the Petits bonheurs festival will offer a diverse program that will delight children ages 0 to 6 through theater, music, dance, puppetry, visual arts, and much more.  

The joy of attending a show

The festival features 11 captivating performances and about 15 creative workshops ranging from painting to dance and music. Local artists are delighted to share their talent, expertise, and passion with young audiences through interactive and visually striking formats. Among the must-see events, don’t miss 45, by La Taupinière (May 2, 3, 9, and 10), Coucou (May 4–7), and Petit concert à l’aube (May 8–10), not to mention the immersive installation that will cap off this anniversary edition. 

The festivities continue outdoors with Payzages (May 10 and 11), an original event that will allow families to enjoy art outside the walls of performance venues. 

Happiness can be found everywhere in Laval

The festival isn't limited to stages and performance venues. It comes to life throughout the city thanks to the participation of several cultural institutions in Laval. Laval's libraries, the Cosmodome and the Armand-Frappier Health Museum wwill also offer free activities that will extend the festival experience by adding a touch of science and interactive discoveries.

The joy of celebrating Laval’s 60th anniversary

The closing festivities on May 10 and 11 will be an opportunity to celebrate not only the festival’s 15th anniversary, but also Laval’s 60th anniversary. This double anniversary will be marked by a spectacular program of free activities and performances. The Maison des arts will be transformed into a true cultural playground for the whole family, where young and old alike can have fun, explore, and celebrate together.

And, of course, imaginary friends and stuffed animals are invited to join in this celebration of imagination and creativity!
