A day of Starmania in Laval

This August, Laval goes all Starmania! And why? Because, for the first time in Canada, the famous rock opera will be presented at Place Bell to 5,800 spectators each evening. Did you see it over forty years ago, and are you dying to see it again? Or you've just discovered it, and your curiosity is burning? Now's your chance! And to make sure the event lives up to all the glitter in the show, plan a day (why settle for an evening?) with a Starmania vibe!

"Laval, a large city in the northern suburbs

Start your rock epic early in Laval, Quebec's third-largest city, north of Montreal. Take a tour of Centropolis on foot, take advantage of the city's slowly awakening, its lively atmosphere and the shops that are opening to stroll around or enjoy a bowl of coffee (a glass of juice or a full breakfast - you don't have to limit yourself right from the start) on a terrace, in good company.

"The Businessman's Blues

When it's time for dinner, do as the businessmen do and sit down at one of Laval's finest tables for a gourmet experience that reflects what you're looking for, whether it's casual or more refined. For example, why not try the Sesame or one of the many restaurants atEspace Montmorency? And if you feel like it, after your meal, take a look at the Hilton (real people know).

Don't spend the rest of the day wondering what to do! If the weather's nice, take to the fields and explore the farms and parks of Laval. In the heart of nature, just a few minutes from the vibrant city, you'll be able to take a breath of fresh air, recharge your batteries and even nibble on local produce, if you've got any appetite left!

Now it's time to head to the hotel. Whether at the Courtyard by Marriott (opposite Place Bell), the Sheraton or the Holiday Inn Lavalyou can take a moment just for yourself! Take a nap, enjoy the facilities (hello, pools and baths), change your clothes and even have a drink or a bite to eat before THE big moment. You'll have energy to spare for the rest of the evening.

The long-awaited moment has finally arrived! See you at Place Bell for an exceptional evening of Starmania. Together with 5,800 other spectators, let yourself be transported by the powerful voices of renowned singers and the breathtaking scenography of this legendary rock opera. Experience every emotion, every note, as if you were in Monopolis. You'll see, the story that was futuristic for its time (45 years ago) is more relevant today than ever. You can't help but salute the genius of Luc Plamondon and Michel Berger.

"Tonight we dance at Naziland

To round off the evening, no, you won't be dancing in Naziland, you'll be dancing in Laval! Head to one of the city's hippest and best-known venues to dance the night away, or simply experience Laval by night with our suggested activities.

"When we arrive in town"

In Laval, transportation is easy and convenient, thanks to a network of public transit including the free 360 shuttle. What's more, you'll be able to get around with ease thanks to the Bixi and electric scooters available throughout the city. Contrary to the song "Quand on arrive en ville", there'll be no panic on the boulevards (to find parking) as Laval boasts modern, environmentally-friendly means of transport that will let you explore every nook and cranny of the city without hassle. However, those who choose to drive to the show will be able to park in one of the parking lots available available nearby.
