Workshop-visit at Salle Alfred-Pellan, Maison des arts de Laval

During the interactive tour of the exhibition The Weight of Our Myths, participants will be invited to discover the fascinating world ofartist Surabhi Ghosh. This artist explores various materials such as recycled textiles and glass beads, as well as patterns and their arrangement, to create large-scale sculptural and mural works. During the visit, participants will discover the artist's artistic language, which touches on crafts and cultural traditions, as well as questions of identity and borders.

The visit will be followed bya bead-creation and assembly activity to get hands-on and experiment in the artist's way. The creations will then be added to a large-scale collective work that recalls the architectures or forms in the exhibition.

Educational tour of the Vaillancourt Farm

Come live an unforgettable human experience at the Vaillancourt Farma place where agricultural know-how has been passed down for more than six generations. During the guided tour, you'll learn all about market gardening. Aboard a farm tractor, you'll be able to admire the magnificent fields under cultivation and learn more about the process from seed to plant, finally understanding the close link between this land and the family who farms it.

Following your visit, season permitting, you can sample succulent raspberries straight from the field and take a moment to enjoy the tranquility of the Laval countryside. You can also stop by the farm's kiosk to stock up on fresh fruit, vegetables and local produce.
