Dominique Fils-Aimé – Roots

Dominique Fils-Aimé returns to the stage to present her new album "Our Roots Run Deep", due for release in September 2023 on Ensoul Records. After exploring her Afro-American musical influences, this new, more intimate show invites us to explore the roots of her soul.

She shares with us her deep desire to connect as much with herself, her musicians and her audience, with the desire to envelop us with a human and comforting feeling. Winner of a Félix in the "Jazz Album of the Year" category in 2019, of the JUNO "Jazz Vocal Album" in 2020, and shortlisted for the prestigious Polaris Prize in 2019 and 2021, the Montreal-born singer-songwriter captivates with her bewitching timbre and a discourse as poetic as it is empathetic.
