Exposition temporaire Pandémies – l’humanité au défi

Take part in a quiz using an interactive bracelet. Your challenge? Contain a fictitious pandemic.

Description

While human cohabitation with microorganisms is often useful or inconsequential, it is also at the root of major health crises: pandemics. By visiting the exhibition, participants gain an understanding of the mechanisms by which infectious diseases spread, and how to stop them. They also discover the history of pandemics, realizing that these great health crises, including that of COVID-19, are also a source of learning and have shaped humanity. They're sure to gain a new perspective on a hot topic. Whatever the result of the quiz, visitors will come away winners, better equipped for the future and ready to take concrete action on current health issues.

Laboratory workshop Scientific approach: the vaccine race!

How does scientific knowledge progress? During this laboratory activity, participants learn the steps of the scientific process in the company of a scientific animator. Following Dr. Frappier's example, they immerse themselves in the role of researchers.

Like them, they are taking on one of the greatest scientific challenges in health: the race for vaccines to prevent infectious diseases! After understanding what a vaccine is and the main steps involved in its manufacture, participants apply the scientific approach. In particular, they carry out an experiment to solve a challenge associated with the creation of a new vaccine.
