L’éclipse solaire totale : l’événement astronomique du siècle au Québec

Although Cosmodome is not in the eclipse's band of totality* (99.9% occultation), we are delighted to welcome you for a series of activities and observations.
Programming
Cosmodome offers the following activities related to the solar eclipse:
Virtual conferences
Two free lectures will be given, one in the morning and one in the afternoon, to explain what a total solar eclipse is, how to observe it safely, and to talk about various themes related to this astronomical event.

On-site eclipse viewing!
Although the Laval region is not in the eclipse's band of totality* (99.9% occultation), Cosmodome is happy to welcome you to its site to observe it.
FREE EVENT BY RESERVATION ONLY
Where : In the outdoor parking lot at Cosmodome , 2150 Autoroute des Laurentides, Laval, Quebec H7T 2T8.
When : Monday, April 8, 2024. The site opens at noon and activities begin at 1pm, lasting until 5pm. The eclipse is scheduled to take place between 2.15pm and 4.30pm.
A limited number of people will be able to attend this event on our site. We will only accept visitors who have purchased a free ticket online.
On the program:
- Free distribution of solar glasses for safe viewing of the eclipse (1 per registered participant)
- Guest partner booths
- Scientific animations and other surprises!
