Plastique – Théâtre du Portage

Presented as part of the Rencontre Théâtre Ados (RTA) festival

Description

A contemporary ecological fable, full of humor, in the pure tradition of masked play.

The year is 2122, and plastic has completely disappeared from the Earth, leaving only a floating mass in the middle of the ocean. The island's sole inhabitant, Madeleine's daily life is disrupted by the arrival of a band of zany characters in search of love, friendship, immortality and beauty. This immense continent of plastic, much closer to fabrication than reality, becomes the stage for a fragile ecosystem. The characters' various personal quests collide and conflict ensues. An imminent war is about to explode.
