Ferme Jeunes au Travail is a community organization that helps high school dropouts aged 16 to 25 years old from Laval to develop personal, professional and social skills.
At the farm’s stand, that is open right from the beginning of the harvest, from mid-June to the end of October, customers find a wide variety of fresh organic vegetables, fruits, fresh herbs, eggs, homemade dishes and local products (honey, jams, ketchup, pickles, pesto, and more).

Young participants in the programme agree to complete the six-month work integration or reinsertion training, four days a week. During this period, in the company of social workers and educators, they familiarize themselves with various types of manual work, from agriculture to construction, from cooking to carpentry and cabinet making.
Thanks to their contribution, the organization creates various products and offers high quality services related to organic farming, agri-food processing, customer service as well as the making of wood furniture and items. The farm also offers community catering service.
Visitors can buy wood furniture and other items made in the farm’s environmentally friendly carpentry workshop. Also, the programme has for objective to contribute to wood waste reclamation by using trees that were cut down on the territory.
