Parcours Abord-à-Plouffe, "A welcoming river corner

August 1 at 10:30 a.m.
August 13 at 10:30 a.m.
August 27 at 10:30 a.m.
On a one-kilometer walking tour, discover another neighborhood with a rich past, in the company of a historian-guide. From village to city in the mid-20th century, this evocatively-named area of Laval overlooks the Rivière des Prairies. In the 19th century, as they approached the rapids, wood haulers - the cageux - stopped here to cross the river's obstacles. They docked at l'Abord-à-Plouffe before completing their journey to the port of Québec with their deliveries.
