Laval plays in the big league!
With the most extensive network of sports arenas in Quebec, Laval grants professional athletes from all backgrounds access to competitions that matches their talent. And let's not forget the organizations that also take advantage of these facilities to hold major sporting events. Find out what people say about it.
Sporting Excellence
Excellence is the result of effort, experience and the will to surpass all limits– three values that define the spirit of the Laval and became the core principle behind the creation and design of its various sports arenas. Those facilities enable athletes to train and compete in environments adapted to the specific needs of each sport.
One example is triathlon, a demanding sport that combines a 750-metre swim, a 20-kilometre bike ride and a 5-kilometre run. There's no doubt that a competition of this kind requires a location that is 100% suited to it!
The good news is that the perfect venue is the Centre de la nature de Laval, where the Laval Triathlon has been held for the past two years. Here's what Pascale Leclerc has to say about it:
"Triathlon Laval has been pleased to hold the Triathlon de Laval at the Centre de la Nature for the past two years. The Centre de la Nature is an ideal venue, since it has all the infrastructure required to host a triathlon competition. The participants have the opportunity to compete on an ambitious and technical course, in a natural setting that even allows competitors to swim in a lake."
Laval excels in the art of surpassing itself!
Laval is all about surpassing yourself. The city already boasts some of the finest and most prestigious sports facilities in the province, but it wanted to go even further. The result is a free service whose primary mission is to help associations, federations and promoters plan their sporting events. Laval SportCité and its team of Certified Simplifiers act as facilitators, from the preparation of the application to the organization and promotion of the event.
Here's what Rémi Morasse, President of ARTA-Laval and the organizing committee for the 2023 Edition of the Canada East Cup in Archery (held from June 23 to 25 at Parc Lévis-Paquette) has to say about this:
"A big thank you to everyone for their help. This competition enabled us to offer a site that was exceptional. We received very good feedback from archers in Canada and the United States. Many people would like to come back to Laval for future competitions.”
