Laval 2023 - It is with great enthusiasm and pride that the Corporation Rose-Art presents the 27th edition of its Symposium. After winning several prizes and awards, we're working hard to maintain our reputation. Artists from Laval and other regions of Quebec await you during these four days of festivities in the rural district of Vieux Sainte-Rose.

Mrs. Oprina-Félicia Dolea, President of the Corporation Rose-Art, together with our Honorary President Mrs. Flavia Alexandra Novac, City Councillor of Ste-Rose, and our 2023 spokesperson, actor Nico Racicot, will launch the activities to be held from July 27 to 30. This symposium, always eagerly awaited by the public, will take place in the vicinity of the Sainte-Rose-de-Lima church and the Vieille Caserne between Fillion and Deslauriers-Hotte streets. Every year, over 20,000 visitors come to see and appreciate the work of these artists.

During these four days, 70 artists, selected by an independent Rose-Art committee, will offer visitors an infinite palette of colors and styles. Painting and sculpture in all styles, from figurative to abstract, will surprise the public. The organizing committee presents the artists who weave the fabric of this show for the eyes, in a full-colour printed directory.

Come and meet them at this annual event...

Thursday, Friday, Saturday 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Sunday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

At the same time, the public can visit the Vieille Caserne gallery for an exhibition on the theme of "La route de notre histoire", and the Centre d'Art for an exhibition of large-format works by artists from the Corporation Rose-Art. On the first floor, multidisciplinary artist Nico Racicot will be exhibiting his work. Adjacent to the gallery, there will be a tribute exhibition to Mme Yolande Lapalice Daneau and Mme Aline Cyr, two of the founders of Rose-Art.

There will also be "La bohème", a gathering place to encourage exchange between artists and visitors. There will also be a "selfie" trail, inviting visitors to take photos of themselves. And an introduction to painting to get the public involved.

All activities are free of charge

Visitors will be able to take advantage of the rest areas provided on site.

A number of partners joined forces to ensure the event's success. These include Heritage Canada, the Member of Parliament for Ste-Rose, Mr. Christopher Skeete, various government departments, the City of Laval, the Caisse Desjardins du Nord de Laval, the Radio-Classique website, the Courrier Laval, etc., as well as a number of local merchants.

Rose-Art is an association of artists whose aim is to democratize art and make it accessible to all. As such, our organization takes part in the Journées de la Culture every year, and organizes a number of thematic exhibitions in the gallery and beyond.
