Christine Métayer, new CEO of Tourisme Laval

Laval, October 4, 2023 - The Board of Directors of Tourisme Laval is pleased to announce the appointment of Christine Métayer as President and CEO of the organization. Ms. Métayer will officially take office on November 13.

"Christine Métayer's appointment as head of Tourisme Laval is excellent news," said Yanick Pazzi, Chairman of the Board of Tourisme Laval. "Ms Métayer is recognized as a manager with many qualities, whose values are in harmony with those of our association. We are convinced that her leadership, experience and vision will be invaluable to the continued progress of our organization. She is just the person the Laval tourism industry needs to maintain its momentum and ensure its long-term survival.

Christine Métayer is currently General Manager of Éco-Nature | Parc de la Rivière-des-Mille-Îles, one of Laval's major tourist attractions. With a decade of experience in strategic positions under her belt, she stands out for her ability to mobilize teams and partners around large-scale projects. Having led teams in a variety of fields, including public health, culture, the environment and tourism, Christine Métayer brings a solid and varied background to Tourisme Laval. Well-rooted in Laval politics and a member of Tourisme Laval's Board of Directors since 2021, she is ideally suited to carry out the new strategic planning.
