LAVAL, QUEBEC (TUESDAY, MAY 26, 2020) @ILLUMICAVALIA #ENROUTEVERSILLUMI - Illumi - Féerie de Lumières by Cavalia, which attracted 500,000 visitors in its inaugural season, is adapting in light of the current context and transforming itself into an automobile course. The Cavalia team has been working tirelessly over the past few weeks to reinvent and enrich the 2nd edition of its all-light event, in order to respect the guidelines of physical distance without sacrificing any of the magic. Illumi - Féerie de Lumières en voiture will be presented in Laval from October 2, 2020 to January 10, 2021.
"When we come to the end of a difficult period, we're always happy to move from darkness to light," comments Normand Latourelle, creator of Cavalia and Illumi. "I hope this new Illumi concept will bring much happiness to our lives. Illumi en voiture will be the perfect excuse to get out of the house, have fun and marvel again with those we love. All this in a unique, magical environment, three times bigger than the first edition. Together, warm and safe, we'll shine brighter than ever!"
Illumi - Féerie de Lumières en voiture will take place on the same site in Laval. However, the route will be three times larger than the original. Set up all around the gigantic tree of lights, the all-new configuration of the three-kilometre route will feature 18 fantastic tableaux, including 10 new universes. A total of 15 million LED bulbs will bring more than 30,000 dazzling structures to life. This year, Illumi - Féerie de Lumières en voiture will open its doors at the beginning of October with Halloween-themed tableaux, followed by winter and holiday themes in November.
What's more, visitors who travel to Illumi by public transport will be able to hop aboard specially-designed trains that are safe for everyone's health, as they make their way through the world's largest multimedia journey of its kind.

Illumi - Féerie de Lumières generated phenomenal attendance for its first edition. The 500,000 visitors registered at the turnstiles in just eight weeks made Normand Latourelle's new multimedia project the most popular and busiest ticketed event of its kind in Canada. Over 40% of visitors came from outside the greater Laval region (Laval, Montreal and the Laurentians) to enjoy and marvel at Illumi.
