Launch of the 2021 summer campaign

Say "hello" to everything there is to see in Quebec

Québec City, May 31, 2021 - Thought you'd seen it all in Québec? Well, let us surprise you! With summer vacations just around the corner, the tourism industry is launching its 2021 summer campaign, inviting Quebecers to discover the destination's unsuspected treasures and say "Bonjour" to everything there is to see here at home! Quebec is abundant! You'll never tire of exploring our vast territory of over 1.6 million square kilometers, its spectacular and varied landscapes, its vibrant urban environments and, everywhere, the same warm welcome from its inhabitants. Each region has its own creative and rich culture, inviting new experiences.

The call to get off the beaten track will be made to the rhythm of Boule Noire's hit Loin d'ici, revisited by l'Hologramme and Les Louanges.

The 2021 summer campaign is the result of a concerted effort by the Ministry of Tourism, the Alliance de l'industrie touristique du Québec and the network of tourism associations. It will be deployed on a variety of platforms to inform Quebecers about the unforgettable vacation opportunities available to them. The Bonjour Québec website's enhanced inspiration and planning tools are the key to getting ready to conquer hidden gems that are well worth the detour.

Supporting the tourism industry and the local economy while saving money

The campaign will also invite travelers to take advantage of significant discounts made possible by incentives launched by the Quebec government. The Explore Québec packages offer multi-services stays in all regions of Quebec, at rates reduced by at least 25%. These packages can be customized to suit individual interests, and feature flexible repayment terms. Attractions Passports offer discounts of 20 to 40% on admission to a wide range of tourist attractions. As they are available in limited numbers, travelers can purchase them now and use them later in the 2021 summer season.

Enjoy summer safely across Quebec

Quebec's tourism businesses, already masters in the art of entertaining, have spared no effort to welcome travelers this summer with the utmost respect for sanitary measures. In solidarity with public health, the tourism industry has adopted exemplary health plans to protect citizens, travellers, workers and suppliers.

Quotes

"Even the most seasoned travelers will agree: we're never done discovering our vast and beautiful Québec! The diversity of our tourism offering and the sheer size of our territory allow us to offer exceptional experiences that are the stuff of dreams. Everything is in place to welcome you and to enable you to travel with kindness and respect for the health measures in force. So this summer, I invite you to say "Bonjour" to all that's left to see in Quebec, and in so doing, support your tourism industry and the local economy. In Quebec, whether it's for a getaway or a longer stay, there's always something to do, admire, taste and try!

Caroline Proulx, Minister of Tourism.

"Too often, just because we live here, we mistakenly think we know Quebec well. Summer 2021 is the perfect time to (re)discover the must-sees and explore its best-kept secrets. And why not take the opportunity to start planning for the autumn that follows. All members of the tourism industry have joined forces to bring you the best in memorable experiences. Having travelled the length and breadth of the province, I can tell you without a shadow of a doubt that Quebec never ceases to amaze!

Martin Soucy, President and CEO, Alliance de l'industrie touristique du Québec.
