Montreal, May 3, 2023 - The Gold Medal Club is proud to announce the signing of a new partnership agreement with Tourisme Laval. This association will enable our organization to pursue its provincial development mission by covering a vital and dynamic business region of Quebec, and to promote the Athletes First program.
The Gold Medal Club and Tourisme Laval have agreed to combine their distinctive efforts in support of Laval athletes identified as Espoir, Relève, Élite and Excellence, in addition to collaborating on initiatives that showcase the region's businesses.
"This initiative between Tourisme Laval and the Gold Medal Club is a first! We're delighted with this partnership, which encourages business people to inspire our region's young people to pursue their athletic and academic development with a view to a possible professional future that lives up to their dreams," says Geneviève Roy, President and CEO of Tourisme Laval.
"We are extremely proud to add the Tourisme Laval team to our group of well-known partners. Athletes need all the organizations that exist to help them to work together towards a common goal and value their objectives. Our local athletes are our great ambassadors at local, provincial, national and even international level. In particular, they are our corporate successors," says Andrée Bélanger, General Manager of the Gold Medal Club.
The goal of the Athletes First program is to forge links between athletes and businesses. This program is aimed at the business community wishing to financially support an athlete:
