Tintin in Laval? Why not?
Maybe you didn't know, but January 10 is a special day. No, it's not a public holiday, but it is World Tintin Day. Since our globe-trotting hero is entitled to all the honors, we thought we'd give him a little nod by imagining what his adventures might have been like in Laval.
Tintin in Centro
Our hero and his famous dog, after a very long journey from the end of the world, could have landed in Centropolis. After a trip to the antipodes of relaxation, they would certainly have been delighted to discover a place easily accessible by public transport, whosegourmet offerings and party venues to suit all tastes.
After dropping off their luggageone of the nearby hotelsthey could have created an evening of their own.
Tintin in Cosmodome
Our favorite globetrotter, and his funny boat captain friend, could both have been invited to take part in the Cosmo Mission of the Cosmodome. Once aboard the Astralis shuttle, they would have been able to determine whether life has developed or could have developed in the past on the satellite Europa. At the controls or in the control room, they would also have had to return the shuttle to Earth and ensure the success of the mission. An experience they could have described as unique to Laval.
Tintin and the 8 woods of Laval
After the disappearance of one of his best friends, the birthday boy went looking for him in the 8 woods of Laval. On snowshoes, on foot and even on cross-country skis, on the trails of Sainte-Dorothée, La Source, L'Orée des bois, Armand-Frappier, l'Équerre and Papineau, he searched every inch of woodland beneath the destination's marvellous forest canopy. His quest, interrupted here and there by the discovery of abundant flora and diverse fauna, would have been most rewarding. Would he eventually find his precious friend? A mystery...
Tintin and the Secrets of Berge aux Quatre-Vents
History's legendary loup de mer is said to have sailed new waters in search of hidden treasure and stumbled upon the Berge aux Quatre-Vents. In the company of our blonde-haired journalist and his dog, the three of them set off on an adventure along the snow-covered beach, discovering an incredible place for supervised swimming in summer and a fantastic spot for ice skating in winter. Would they have had the audacity to play field hockey?
Tintin and the Club de Motoneige Laval affair
The sensational invention of a renowned professor would have caused a series of disasters in Laval: the entire destination would have been covered in snow! Fortunately, thanks to one of their ingenious ideas, our hero and his four-legged companion would still have been able to shop and dine in town, had they been so inclined. Comfortably seated on an urban snowmobilethey could have enjoyed a 60-kilometre escapade on Laval's marked trails.
