Laval Christmas Market: festive and gourmet
The snowshoes are out of storage, the skates are sharpened and the field hockey sticks are already lying around in the hallway; you could say that winter has arrived! The first snow also means the imminent arrival of Christmas markets, the holiday season and, above all, a well-deserved vacation!
After the beautiful autumn we've had, visitors are ready to don their beautiful recycled fur coats and knitted headbands for the return of the Marché de Noël de Laval.
Back for a more gastronomic edition than ever
The freshly fallen snow and mild weather will ensure that you and your family can spend some quality time together at the Marché de Noël de Laval on December 1-2-3 and 8-9-10, 2023. Returning to the Centre de la Nature de Laval for its 12th edition, the annual gathering of the region's darling artisans invites you to two weekends full of discoveries to put under the tree. In addition to completing your gift-giving package for your minis' teachers or your extended family exchange, why not take the opportunity to spoil yourself a little.
You'll find scented candles, unique jewelry and items to keep you warm all winter long, not to mention the many kiosks that will make you as hungry as the next. I strongly suggest that you don't arrive at the Marché de Noël de Laval with your belly too full, and let yourself be tempted by all the delights on offer, including the famous chimney cakes, Hungarian classics that have made their way here to the delight of our little gourmands. You can also break your crust in the warmth of the heated marquee, or sip a hot chocolate while warming your rind around the fire.
For a pleasant outing
As a parent, I always remember to prepare my outings well to avoid unpleasant surprises! Warm clothing is obviously recommended, as you'll have to walk from the parking lot or nearby streets - for non-residents of the island - to the site of the Marché de Noël de Laval. The latter is located near the little village, which I strongly recommend you visit when you're there. The place still fills me with nostalgia, as I used to go there regularly with my parents, when I could barely walk a few steps. Of course, I urge you to travel light, especially to leave plenty of room for all your finds!
Happy discoveries and happy holidays (yes, already!)
