Leave your car at home and come have fun in Laval
We love winter for a host of different reasons, some of them a little bizarre (e.g., because we can spend 12 hours watching a series without feeling guilty). However, we rarely mention the fact that we have to clear out our car and wait a thousand years for the windows to defrost. So stick to the pleasures of winter and leave your car at home.
Come to Laval by public transit and arrive practically on the doorstep of your favorite activities.
Cartier metro exit
The range of activities centered around the Cartier metro station is vast. There's something for everyone, starting with the Delia Tétreault Museum which immerses us in the captivating story of Canada's first female missionary. Then, for retro sports enthusiasts, there's the BG Laval 2000 bowling alley located nearby, as well as the Bleu Blanc Bouge skating rink skating rink or the Bernard-Landry Park for those who want a little more action.
Finally, from Cartier station, you can also satisfy your taste buds at Kyomi (hello to fine Asian cuisine) and Les Insulaires Microbrasseurs (hello to incredible Laval microbrewery beer).
De la Concorde metro exit
Located on (surprise!) Boulevard de la Concorde, the station of the same name was inaugurated in 2007. From here, it's easy to grab a poutine at Gérard's or get some fresh air at Parc des Prairies. Above all, it's from here that you can get to the Maison des arts de Lavalone of Laval's cultural gems. Whether you want to see a play or stroll through an art gallery, this is the destination to add to your itinerary.
Montmorency metro exit
Montmorency station opens onto a veritable crossroads of cultural and entertainment activities. A stone's throw from the metro is the Salle André-Mathieuideal for a comedy or music show, not to mention Place Bell which really needs no introduction. As we all know, that's where you go to see the Rocket. It's also where you go to grab a bite to eat at restaurants like Gatto Mattothe Spicebros or the Westwoodto name but a few.
A free shuttle bus
What's more, to make it easier to get around between different activities, there's the free 360 shuttle, a great option for getting between Laval's various metro stations and its must-see sites. Speaking of must-see attractions, plan an unforgettable day without a car. Instead, hop aboard the 360 and visit the CF Carrefour Lavalthe Centropolisthe Clip'n Climb or the iFLY Laval-Montreal.
