Les ateliers d'Alfred at the Maison des arts de Laval, creative workshops that are good for kids and their parents.

My life is not a smooth ride. As a mother of two, specialized educator and blogger, I am constantly looking for new challenges. I learn, I meet, I discover, and I write.

The Maison des arts de Laval is by far one of my family's favorite places. There's something for everyone. The Théâtre des Muses offers a varied program of unique artistic works in an intimate, comfortable atmosphere. In addition to the magnificent performance hall, the Maison des arts de Laval also boasts several other spaces dedicated to creation, dissemination and exhibition, for both apprentices and established artists.

We regularly attend shows for young audiences, but we'd never taken part in Alfred's workshops. Very few people are aware that these workshops for little ones accompanied by their parents are offered after all shows in the young audience category. Places are limited. So it's important to reserve your place by presenting your show ticket for a chance to take part in the workshop and walk away with a magnificent work of art that your minis have produced with their own hands.

Workshops are also offered independently in connection with the exhibition of the moment. We were lucky enough to take part in one of these workshops, and my children still talk to me about it. Although they are intended for young participants aged 5 and over, my youngest, aged 2 and a half, was still able to create, in her own way, a work similar to that of her sister. Accompanied by their grandfather, who wasn't quite sure what I'd gotten him into, my daughters had a ball! Sitting with children of different ages in an environment conducive to exchange, my older daughters had to overcome their shyness and share materials to produce a unique craft linked to the exhibition visited just before the workshop. At Alfred's workshops, we work on social skills, raw materials and imagination, no less!

I accompanied my children on their creative journey and it had been a long time since we had been so zen. I really enjoyed this little hour of art therapy, which allowed me to disconnect and better connect with my children. We often underestimate the power of the arts and the benefits of taking the time to let go and let our creativity flow without criticism or judgment. It did us a world of good, and my daughters couldn't have been prouder of their handiwork!

I invite you to consult theschedule of Alfred's workshops and Alfred's apprentices, and to register without delay.
