It's possible to rekindle your flame after the kids!

My life is not a smooth ride. As a mother of two, specialized educator and blogger, I am constantly looking for new challenges. I learn, I meet, I discover, and I write.

Time for two, I don't know what it is anymore. Just like eating hot, with both hands; it's a myth. I'm lucky enough to have had two children in the last three years. I'm extremely fulfilled, but quite burnt out! Let's face it, it's sport.

My married life has been set aside to start our family. We take the time to mark our couple's anniversary and wedding anniversary, and that's about it. To really feel like we're taking a break, my boyfriend and I used to celebrate these anniversaries in Montreal. This year, with my baby only a month old, we celebrated our wedding anniversary at home, in between drinks.

Surprise

A few months later, I decided to surprise my boyfriend and plan a lovely evening together. My mother-in-law was available to come and watch our daughters for the night. So the deal was in the bag. Choosing the activities wasn't easy. I quickly realized that there was a lot more to do in Laval than I thought. In the end, we decided to go rock climbing. The thing is, my boyfriend is afraid of heights and we've never climbed before in our lives. Well, it didn't work out too well, but we hadn't laughed so much for a long time. I'd like to thank the Clip n'Climb Laval team, who encouraged us and didn't judge us too much.

To add a touch of glamour to our outing, we spent the rest of the afternoon lounging in our fabulous Hilton Laval suite. My boyfriend and I did what every parent secretly dreams of doing in the kids' absence: taking a hot bath, listening to something other than cartoons and eating chips in the middle of the afternoon! True luxury.
